The city of Geneva is the center of many of the main cultural and economic activities related to the audiovisual branch: development, production and distribution.

An International Festival for Cinema, Television and New Screens
Cinéma Tous Ecrans takes place each year in Geneva during one week in which the city becomes the crossroads for the national and international audiovisual world with the purpose of bringing closer together cinema and television and new screens in order to favour creativity.

A Festival for Professionals
International encounters and colloquiums address the current issues of the audiovisual industry. Concurrently, the Geneva Select Market welcomes international buyers and producers.

A Festival that Reaches Out to a Large Audience
With a programme in which famous names rub shoulders with new talents, the Festival reaches out to a large audience as well as to real movie fans. An event that favours encounters between the public and filmmakers.

Cinema Tous Ecrans is an innovative Festival that values the artistic qualitiy and the originality of works in all formats (cinema, television and new screens).

Cinema Tous Ecrans has already awarded films by Atom Egoyan, Robert Guédiguian, Antonia Bird, Michael Apted, Peter Kosminsky, Arturo Ripstein, Catherine Breillat, Raphaël Nadjari, among others.

• Official International Competition (cinema and television)
International jurys award several prizes: the Reflets d’Or for Best Film and for Best Direction, the Performances Awards, the TV5MONDE Award, the Audience Award and the FIPRESCI Award.

• International Series, Collections & Long Dramas (tv)
A world tour exploring the new TV-series, collections and long dramas. A jury awards the Reflets d’Or for Best Series and for Best Collection & Long Drama.

• Selection of Short Films (cinema and tv)
An opportunity to discover new styles, authors and films among the best ones of the year. A jury awards the Reflet d’Or for Best Short Film.

• Regards d’Aujourd’hui (cinema and tv)
The reconstruction of reality through fiction, powerful and present social topics. A jury awards the Reflet d’Or for the Regards d’Aujourd’hui section.

• New Screens (multimedia)
The Festival innovates and changes, offering a new perspective on the multiplicity of screens on an international scale.

  • Multimedia interactive fiction: fiction and interactivity
  • Series for the web: serial audiovisual creation with possible extensions on other screens
  • Feature and Short Films auto-produced for the web: the best of drama produced on the web
  • Cinema Tout Mobile: international competition for short films up to 2 minutes made for mobile phones 

• Major Film Director on Small Screen (cinema and tv)
Every year, the Festival pays tribute to an important author who has worked for cinema as well as for television, such as R.W. Fassbinder, Atom Egoyan, David Cronenberg, John Frankenheimer, Stephen Frears, Paul Verhoeven and Ken Loach, Michael Mann...

• International Professional Colloquium (cinema, tv, multimedia)
Encounters between professionals around audiovisual news and creations.

• Self-Portrait of a Channel (tv)
Every year, the Festival selects as honoured guest an innovative TV-channel. The Festival has already welcomed BBC, ZDF, RAI, DRTV, NOS, CBC-Radio Canada, RTBF, France Télévisions and Arte.

• Geneva Select Market
International film and television market, organized in collaboration with Swiss Films.
