Autumn Ball
Set among a complex of Soviet-era tower blocks in Tallinn, the people in Sügisball are eager for their lives to change. Looming over the landscape, the concrete towers represent the crumbling past and the daunting challenge of creating a new present. Based on the eponymous novel by the famous Estonian writer, Mati Unt, Sügisball was the winner of the Orizzonti prize in Venice in 2007 and has been awarded many more prizes in festivals all around the world.
