Les Mécréants
On the orders of their spiritual leader, three young Moroccan Islamists kidnap a group of young actors who are touring with their latest creation. When they get to where they are supposed to hold them, the kidnappers find themselves cut off from their base and unable to receive confirmation whether they are supposed to kill their hostages. The two opposing camps then spend seven intense days waiting together, cut off from the world, learning to live together, confront one other and question the preconceived ideas they both hold. Bought by the TSR, this is an original approach to filming in a confined space which tackles the issue of Muslim fundamentalism head on.
