Is disco really all that innocent? Not at all! During the Cold War In Estonia, it was considered a weapon quite as dangerous as the H-bomb. Faced with rebellious hair-dos and a youth that wouldn't dance in line, the apparatchik didn't know what to do. So let's crank up the volume! Half spy thriller, half wicked comedy, the fantastic Disco and Atomic War investigates the clandestine threat posed by pop music and television to the USSR and shows how the regime's very own paranoia contributed to its demise. You will learn how - under the Soviet era - a few inventors so deeply infatuated with the show Dallas or the Emmanuelle films created illegal antennas powerful enough to receive Finnish television. So powerful in fact that they almost launched a nuclear war!
